Installation Steps :
Instructions for how to install and use the Chrome Extension
1-
Purchase the Remove Paywall Chrome Extension. You can find the extension on this page for a one-time fee of $80. After completing the purchase, proceed with the following steps:
3-
Open Google Chrome and navigate to the extensions management page. You can do this by clicking the puzzle icon and selecting “Manage Extensions,” or by typing chrome://extensions into the address bar.
2-
Upon purchase completion, you’ll gain access to download the RemovePaywall.zip file, which contains the extension’s contents.
4-
Ensure that Developer Mode is enabled by clicking the toggle switch in the top right corner of the page. The switch should be blue.
5-
Unzip the downloaded file. If it doesn’t unzip automatically, double-click the .zip file. You should now see a folder named “Remove_Paywall_Extension.”
6-
Back on the extensions management page in Chrome, locate the “Load unpacked” button in the top left corner. Click it, then navigate to and select the “Remove_Paywall_Extension” folder. Alternatively, you can simply drag and drop the folder onto the page.
7-
The extension will now be loaded, and you should notice it running automatically when visiting new websites, removing any paywalls encountered.
Using the Extension:
If the paywall is not automatically removed, you can access an archived version of the webpage by clicking the three buttons under the “Open tab in” section. This archive typically provides access to the article without a paywall, serving as a helpful alternative.
Additional Features:
- The extension includes extra features such as clearing cookies, which can help remove paywalls and prevent websites from tracking your activity.
- To disable the extension for a specific website, simply turn it off while using that site. This change will be saved, and the extension will remain disabled for that website until manually re-enabled.
